Universal top belt running adjuster – conical, URBTD-ST-type

The universal top belt running adjuster – conical, URBTG/D-ST-type is applied for automatic guidance of the converging conveyor belt in the conveyor axis. The URBTG/D-ST-type adjuster is a simple and very effective structure ensuring straight running of both reversible and one-way belts.

The URBTG/D-ST-type adjuster is produced for belts Bt = 800 – 1400 mm,

– for upper trough-type tendons, 3-roller system, from 0 to 55 degrees

– for lower trough-type tendons, 2-roller system, 5 and 10 degrees, as well as for single rollers in a flat layout.

Use

  • For guiding both the upper trough belt and the lower flat and trough belt into the conveyor axis
  • For heavy-duty applications
  • mainly in reversing conveyors and in one-way conveyors
  • For belts with speeds up to 3.15 m/s
  • For retreaded, bonded and metal-connected belts
  • For all types of conveyors

Equipment characteristics (essential design features)

  • Side rollers with a precisely adjusted cone angle of the rubber jacket
  • Stepless adjustment of side roller inclination – from 0 to 55 degrees
  • Additional friction brakes at the ends of the conical rollers
  • Individual, asymmetrical positioning of side (conical) rollers – as required
  • Support beam with telescopic mounting arms (easy adaptation to the conveyor support structure)
  • Pivot frame angle stops fitted on the support frame.
  • Triple-bearing main axle of the pivot frame with seal to protect the bearing node.
  • Screw mechanism for raising and lowering the entire adjuster
  • Operation: the conical construction of the side rollers (with a precisely selected angle of the cone) produces a centring force which tends towards the equilibrium state (axial run of the belt) as a result of the variable peripheral velocity at various points of the conical roller jacket. If the belt continues to run, the different peripheral velocities on the roller sheaves cause the support beam with the rollers to buckle, which results in an additional centring force acting on the conveyor belt.

  • It eliminates the adverse effects of imprecise belt connections, its different elastic properties, asymmetrical loading of the belt and lack of alignment of the drums and the conveyor structure
  • It improves the conveyor efficiency
