Wagon tippers are trans-shipment equipment used in ports, power plants and storage yards to unload bulk materials from railway wagons.
Our bumpers are used to secure the sides of the wagons and to cushion the wagons after they have been clamped and immobilised in the rotary dumper during trans-shipment on drum and side tippers.
Polyurethane elastomer used in bumpers of the wagon tippler is compliant with PE-EN ISO 868:2005 and has the following parameters:
- Stress at 100% elongation = 5.4 Mpa
- Stress at 300% elongation = 11.4 Mpa
- Stress at break = 52 Mpa
- Relative elongation at 600% break according to EN ISO 527-1-5:1998
- Tensile strength at 99 N/mm according to PN-ISO 34-1:1998
- Abrasion: 40 mm according to PN-ISO 4649:1999
Dimensions of produced bumper components:
- 210 x 300 x 100 mm
- 610 x 300 x 100 mm
- 1120 x 300 x 100 mm
The buffers are designed to withstand the pressure of the wagon (about 20 Mg) and the raw material (about 60 Mg).
